Aptus Strengthens Commercial and Clinical Team
Aptus Clinical is delighted to strengthen and expand its commercial and clinical teams with four new employees. Within Clinical Services, Aptus has welcomed Ms. Noriega as CRA Manager, Mohamed Jama and Beauty Mutandari as CTAs and promoted Kristin Cope to CTA manager. The commercial team has also introduced Amy Cheney, in a new role as Marketing Manager.
Ms. Noriega, will be responsible for building Aptus’ UK and EU CRA team to support continued growth and expansion across the EU. Ms. Noriega has 17+ years’ experience working in the Medical Device and Pharma/Biotech- industry, nine of those years were spent working with medical devices, valves, and critical care technologies, and fourteen years were spent within the Pharma/Biotech- industry. Over that period, she gained a wealth of complex and transferable knowledge in the field of Clinical Research throughout Scandinavia, Europe, and USA, across a number of roles. She also has a nursing background with 4 years clinical nursing experience in haematology and oncology.
Mohamed Jama began his career as a CTA working at the Royal Hallamshire NHS Trust and then with Leeds Teaching Hospital. Mohamed has also more recently spent time as a CTA with J&J. With a wide breadth of site level experience in a variety of indications including Oncology, Rare Diseases Ophthalmology and also Medical Devices, Mohamed will be a great asset to our team.
Beauty Mutandari will bring a breadth of knowledge with over 7 years’ experience, spending 3 years as a Research Technician with Leeds Institute of Genetics and Synexus. Beauty also worked for over 4 years as a Study Co-Ordinator, firstly with MAC Clinical and then more recently with The Christie. The addition of Beauty and Mohamed to the team led to the promotion of Kirstin Cope, a dedicated member of the Aptus team. Kirstin will ensure the CTA team are receiving the support and training needed as well as ensuring any developments are reviewed and shared.
Finally, Amy Cheney brings new skills to the Aptus team as a dedicated in-house Marketing Manager. Amy has 7 years’ experience within the field, five of those spent at Illingworth Research. Amy holds a Diploma in Professional Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and will be responsible for building and developing the Aptus brand. Amy’s appointment marks a significant milestone in Aptus’ growth and its commitment to the development of the brand, of particularly relevance as Aptus enters the digital arena with patient wearables and Artificial Intelligence.
